Apr. 8, 2008 (China Knowledge) - China Oilfield Services Ltd (COSL)<601808><2883>, the largest oilfield service provider in Asia, had received a letter of intent for a three-year drilling fluids service contract in Indonesia worth several million U.S. dollars, according to its announcement on Monday.

The move marked a breakthrough in COSL's expansion into the overseas market, according to Yuan Guangyu, the CEO and president of COSL.

It was the first time for COSL to extend its drilling fluids service contract to Indonesia through international public tender, which a number of international oil field service companies took part in.

The company mainly provides oilfield services in Chinese offshore market, and its business has extended to overseas markets, including America, the Middle East, offshore Africa and Europe.
