Apr. 9, 2008 (China Knowledge) - Oasis Hong Kong Airlines Ltd, a budget carrier in Hong Kong, is set to go into liquidation on Wednesday after an accumulative loss of HK$1 billion since it commenced service in October 2006, sources reported.

The airline is even unable to recover half of its costs as the price of its tickets is too low, the report said, citing unidentified sources familiar with the issue.

Its flight to London took off at 17:00 (GMT) from Hong Kong as scheduled on Tuesday and its last returning flight is expected to land at 07:00 (GMT) on Wednesday.

Currently, airline officials are not immediately available for comment.
