Apr. 22, 2008 (China Knowledge) - The 1st Changjiang River Delta Financial Forum, jointly held by People's Government of Shanghai city, Jiangsu and Zhejiang Province, and the People's Bank of China (PBOC) opened in Nanjing on Monday.

More than 400 representatives from China's major financial regulators, financial institutions, enterprises and academic and research communities at home and abroad took part in the forum.

The forum is aimed to boost financial communication in this area and promote its own model of economic integration, so as to ensure that the regional economic growth and development are harmoniously integrated.

Several issues were brought up and explained during the forum, including the dynamics of economic integration in the region, the opportunities for insurance brought by the economic integration and the policies of managing foreign exchange.
