Feb. 18, 2008 (China Knowledge) - Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA), Asia's third-busiest airport, reports its passenger throughput surging 14% year-on-year to hit four million in January, thanks to the increasing number of outbound Chinese mainland tourists who started their traveling plan before the Chinese New Year holiday, said Hong Kong Airport Authority. Cargo volume handled by the world-listed busiest airport for international air cargo also jumped 8.9% to 295,000 metric tons in the same period, the authority added. HKIA, as one of the most important multi-model logistics hubs of China, provides efficient and reliable air travel services with the highest standards of safety and security. |
