Feb. 18, 2008 (China Knowledge) – The sales of Shougang Group hit RMB 109 billion in 2007, surpassing RMB 100 billion for the first time, attributing to the upgrading of its industrial structure, according to sources. In 2007, the core steel products reached 7.1 million tones, 2.4% higher than the previous year. Thanks to technological innovation, Shougang Group achieved a major breakthrough in the development of products in 2007, including 10 series and 31 brands of new products such as pipeline, ship plate, weathering steel, containers steel, and high-strength steel for the construction. Particularly, the group adopted X80 oil pipeline lines for the first time in China, which has met technological requirements for the West-East Gas Transmission project. In addition, annual high-value-added output of ship plate reached 1.2 million tons last year, and its production scale ranked the third in China. In November 2007, it completed the project of Shunyi Cold Rolling Plant, equipped with China's most advanced processing technology. |
